Talk to the Hand ... The OLIVE Hand

Miss Anna just LOVES olives. She loves black ones and green ones. She'll eat them until they are coming out her ears!! This is a super picky kid, and the list of foods she won't touch is exponentially longer than those she will eat. But olives? One of her favorites. A good friend of ours taught her a new fun game with her olives. Can you guess what it is? =)

Talk to the HAND ... cause the OLIVE ain't listenin'

Let me count the way I love olives ...

YUMMMMMMY!

And what blog post would be complete without one of Sarah?! =)

A Sneak Peek for Wendy

This past weekend we headed to Pensacola for the holiday weekend. It was nice visiting family, getting some relaxation time in, and gobbling up some yummy seafood. I also managed to get in a quick photo session. We were able to get some great shots downtown and then over at Pensacola Beach. Despite the fact that we all know how much teenage boys don't like to have their picture taken, they still took great direction for me. And can you believe what a gorgeous mom?!

Enjoy your sneak peek, Wendy!

New Site is LIVE!

At long last, my new website is DONE!! I just requested for it to go live this afternoon. I can't believe how quickly they got it running and it is now LIVE and ready for viewing. =) I'm so excited!! I hope you enjoy the fresh, new look of Marla Laramie Photography. I've added a slew of new photos, and kept some of my older favorites. Also, in the next few days look for details about my new Referral Program. Be sure to let me know what you think. Here is a quick sneak peek. Now, GO LOOK!

A Little Charmer

On Saturday I got the chance to meet Andrew ... and what a charmer this little guy is. He was a joy to work with, and gave me the absolute sweetest smiles that would melt any heart. Andrew loved the little sweet tarts I carry around and quickly figured out how to earn more!

Thanks Barry and Robin, I really enjoyed meeting your wonderful family! Enjoy your sneak peek.

Sinus Infection, Step Throat, and Tornadoes

My thoughts and prayers go out to those who were impacted by yesterday's and today's devastating tornadoes. We had a 3:30 AM wakeup call with the tornado sirens blaring. The girls slept through it as I stood in front of the local news broadcast trying to clear the sleep out of my eyes and decide if the threat was significant enough to get the girls out of bed. Naturally Elliot was out of town for this joyful event! By the time I pulled stuff out of the closet under the stairs, and grabbed pillows and flashlight, the threat had already passed. We were really lucky to have the tornadoes miss us (especially when I find out later there was one spotted very near our neighborhood). When I see what destruction they caused elsewhere it really drives home how much different things could have been. In the future I'm going to skip trying to figure things out, just grab the girls and head for the closet. I'm so used to Florida and hurricane threats where you have time to actually think out a plan and prepare ... this is a whole different experience for me.

Its been a fun few days around here. Aside from our little weather adventure, I've been battling sinus problems (again). After I spent most of the day waiting at the urgent care (memo to self: find a primary doctor!!), I discovered that my sinus flare-up has turned into a full-blown sinus infection, with strep throat to top it all off. Hopefully all will be back to normal in another day or two.

I've got pictures to post if I ever get around to uploading them to my computer and editing them! Hopefully in the next few days, when I'm feeling better.

My Two Silly Girls

I know, I know, its been a while since I've updated my blog. I'm a bad blogger! But I'm making up for it with a slew of new photos. These are just some of my girls being the silly things that they are. =) I love how goofy and silly they like to be. Anna had a great time doing her own little photo shoot with me. I think the part she liked best was when she got two peanut butter M&Ms afterwards!!

Yesterday I baked a batch of brownies for a friend who just had a baby. Sarah helped me by pouring in the oil, then stirring it all up. Afterwards she got to enjoy her favorite part of making brownies ... licking the spoon and the bowl! She got just a tiny bit carried away. =)
